Please say “hello” to Marcia! Marcia, a Registered Nurse, has been with Sound Community Services for a year and a half and is our Director of Integrated Health. Before becoming our Director of Integrated Health, Marcia was initially hired as the Behavioral Health Homes (BHH) Clinical Coordinator. As the Director, Marcia supervises our WISE Program, BHH, as well as our LPN’s and Medical Assistant.
Marcia states, “It has been exciting to welcome the clinic nurses and the medical assistant to our ranks and reach out to the case managers in other programs providing BHH services. I am thrilled to bring a nursing focus on “whole person” health to the clients we serve.”
During COVID, Marcia has stepped up to the plate by carrying the load in our Clinic from a nursing perspective and giving clients their injections, they need. Gino DeMaio, Sound Community Services CEO, has called Marcia the “Dr. Fauci of Sound Community Services” as she has helped lead our COVID Team. Gino states, “Her guidance has been monumental.”
