Please say “hello” to Ana! Ana has been with Sound Community Services for four years and is one of our Service Coordinators in our Supportive Housing Program. Our Supportive Housing Program provides intense case management services to individuals with a substance abuse and/or mental health diagnosis that have a history and/or currently experiencing homelessness.
Born and raised in New London, Ana states, “This community is dear to my heart. Growing up, my parents did a lot of volunteer and community advocacy for a lot of people. They would involve me in food drives, clothing drives, and community events that they would help set up. So, when I started at Sound Community Services, I knew why I wanted to work here and how important programs like Sound are to our community, so I have felt very proud and honored to work for this agency.”
Lastly, Ana states, “Also, I’m very happy of all the relationships I have built not only within Sound but with a lot of the clients as well in such a short period of time. For me, helping others and being an advocate for those who feel like they need support has always been something I have enjoyed doing and take pride in.”
Thank you, Ana, and to our Supportive Housing Program staff for all you do every day!
