Nichole Burns, Senior Director of Quality

Nichole graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Masters in Social Work to go on to obtain her License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW).

Prior to coming to Sound Community Services, she has worked in residential settings supporting multiple at-risk populations as well as in community outpatient. Nichole has been with SCSI for 3 1/2 years with her primary focus on the Intensive Outpatient Programs and their recent expansion offering an increase in services to individuals seeking hope and support.

Nichole’s passion for helping others shines throughout her professional and personal life. She understands that in the midst of mental illness and/or addiction having someone who shows support and provides hope in what seems hopeless can be life-changing.

In her new role as Senior Director of Quality, Nichole is focused on ensuring individuals can utilize SCSI as one of their “roads” in recovery and an “avenue” for hope.

Nichole is instrumental in the quality improvement process within the agency as well as supporting programs navigate program contracts. Nichole also sits on the executive team to guide strategy towards new initiatives and goals for the organization.
