Gino DeMaio, CEO at Sound Community Services in New London CT recently completed a 12 week Summitt leadership program conducted by Leadership Greater Hartford.
Leadership Greater Hartford and The Clarion Group have partnered to present the Summit program since 2010, inviting 12-15 influential executives from different industries to participate in each program. In a refreshingly open and trusting environment, participants share questions, challenges, and insights. They experience boots-on-the-ground exposure to how communities and organizations can be transformed through the work of collaborative, authentic and compassionate leaders.
Accomplishment is all the more meaningful when guided by purpose. Summit brings diverse individuals at the top level of business, education, government, and nonprofit organizations together to challenge and refine their personal and organizational sense of purpose. The pace of their lives rarely gives them the time and space to reflect on their leadership legacy and how to use their influence to serve the community. When our community is anchored by institutions where a sense of purpose is shared and well understood, it can bring people together to new possibilities.
