There’s nothing more rewarding than being recognized by your peers, the ones that see what you do, and how you serve every day. Last night, the Board of Directors held a dinner at the Norwich Inn for individuals who took the time to nominate, and those who were nominated for the Donna Millette-Fridge award.
This year, there were so many compelling nominations for those who provide direct service, and those who manage others making the task of selecting extremely difficult. This year, the Board of Directors decided to present two awards; one for direct service staff and one for managers. This will be the guiding principle moving forward. The 2019 DMF direct client award went to Derek Rock and the 2019 DMF manager award went to Errol Mourice. Congratulations to both award winners! And a huge shout out to Nate Farrance Master of Ceremony for the evening. I would like to thank the Board of Directors for making this change; it better highlights the great work being done at the agency, and made for a wonderful evening filled with heartfelt testimonials about the nominees from those who nominated. I would like to thank everyone who attended, and for your continued commitment to the work we do.
I feel so privileged to say that you are my colleagues and partners as we work to make Sound Community Services a great place to serve our community. Together, we have created an amazing culture.
