Our Oasis Center enjoyed an outing to the Submarine Force Library & Museum, the homeport of the USS Nautilus, located right outside the main gate of the Naval Submarine Base New London in Groton. The Nautilus, the world’s first nuclear-powered submarine, is currently going through a preservation project and we were unable to tour it, but we enjoyed walking around the museum, learning more about the history of our U.S. Navy Submarine Force.
