A Simple Smile Will Change Someone’s Day

Please say “hello” to Tobias! Tobias has been with Sound Community Services for one year and is one of our Residential Recovery Specialists in our Supervised Apartment Program (SAP). SAP is a 2-year, residential program that provides support to individuals diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental health diagnosis.

Tobias states, “We all walk in the dark and each of us must learn to turn on our own light. In a world full of such negativity and darkness, it is important to be a light. Not only to the people we help and serve also to those we work with and even those we pass on the streets or in supermarkets. I live by actions of my grandparents and mother who I watched change people’s day, mood, maybe even life with a simple smile or have a nice day or an everything is going to be okay. That’s the light I strive to be when encountered.”

Thank you, Tobias, and to our Residential Recovery Specialists staff at SAP for all you do every day!
