A Fighter Who Doesn’t Give Up On Life

Please say “hello” to Beth. Beth has been a client in our Community Support Program for over three years now.

Up until 2016, Beth was as happy as she could be. Then, her world came crushing down, things spiraled out of control, and she lost everything. Her soulmate passed away, she lost her home and even had to place her dog into a temporary home. Beth went from living in an apartment to living in her van. To top it off, people she thought she trusted abused her, mentally and physically.

Grieving, suffering from anxiety and needing to talk to someone, she sought out help from Sound Community Services. With the help from staff at Sound, she went from living in her van, to living in a homeless shelter to now living in her very own apartment. Beth purchased a car, went on disability, and was reunited with her dog. Beth states, “Case Management is great. If it weren’t for Claudia, I wouldn’t be here. I haven’t felt this great in a long time. Counseling and Claudia are a godsend and very supportive.”

Once a week, you can find Beth along with our/her Care Coordinator, Claudia, at the Crystal Mall for “Crochet and Knitting with Claudia”. Not only is Beth creative, but she’s also a fighter and we’re very proud of the steps she’s made to better her life!
