Cassie began her career at Sound Community Services in 2014 as an outpatient clinic intern, a foundation that sparked her deep commitment to the agency’s mission. Over the years, she has held various roles, including Outpatient Clinician, Intake Coordinator, Senior Director of Clinical Services, and most recently, Chief Operations Officer.
As COO, Cassie oversees the organization’s operations, ensuring high standards of care and promoting a culture of health and well-being for both clients and staff. She streamlines policies and procedures to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in meeting the agency’s goals. Cassie defines excellence not as perfection, but as the continuous pursuit of better outcomes, skill refinement, and delivering exceptional results.
Beyond her administrative responsibilities, Cassie advocates for addressing the opioid crisis and substance use disorders, working to raise awareness and support effective solutions. Outside of work, she enjoys walking along the Niantic Boardwalk, experimenting with new recipes, and caring for her two cats and dog.

What is something unexpected that most people don’t know about you?
My passion lies in the forensic world, where science and investigation converge to uncover the truth. I am deeply fascinated by the process of solving mysteries, analyzing evidence, and piecing together the puzzle of real-life cases. The forensic field challenges me to think critically, pay attention to the smallest details, and apply knowledge from a variety of disciplines to uncover facts that can make a difference in the pursuit of justice. My passion for this field drives me to continuously learn and develop the skills needed to contribute to solving complex problems and making meaningful contributions to society.
What do you most want clients of The SCSI to know about you?
Integrity is incredibly important to me because it forms the foundation of trust and respect in all my relationships, both personal and professional. I believe that living with integrity means staying true to my values, being honest, and consistently doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. It provides a sense of peace and authenticity in everything I do, allowing me to approach challenges with confidence and clarity.
