What inspired you to pursue a career in your field, and what keeps you passionate about your work?
I’ve always felt a deep calling to help others, and my journey began in group homes—an experience that solidified my passion for behavioral health. It was there that I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of being truly seen and heard. That early experience confirmed for me that this was the field where I belonged.

Throughout my career, every role and opportunity has deepened my commitment and inspired me further. I’ve seen how kindness, respect, and genuine human connection can spark healing and growth. Working alongside colleagues who are equally passionate and dedicated has been a constant source of motivation. Their unwavering commitment reminds me daily of the importance of this work.

What continues to move me most is the resilience of people. Regardless of their circumstances, I’ve seen individuals persevere through adversity with courage and determination. Witnessing that kind of strength is humbling—it deserves to be honored, uplifted, and prioritized. People are truly incredible, and being part of their journey is both a privilege and a responsibility I hold with great care.

What is your role at Sound Community Services, and how do you support the agency’s mission?
As Director of Outpatient Services, I have the privilege of supervising a team of talented and dedicated therapists while also engaging directly with clients. This dual role allows me to embody and advance our agency’s mission of compassion and respect—ensuring that both staff and clients feel supported, valued, and empowered. By fostering a culture of empathy and excellence, I help create an environment where healing and growth are not only possible but prioritized.

What do you enjoy most about working at Sound Community Services?
What I enjoy most about working at Sound is the genuinely positive and passionate culture that surrounds everything we do. There’s a shared energy here—one that’s fueled by purpose, collaboration, and a deep commitment to the work. The variety of programs and services keeps things dynamic and engaging, and the constant collaboration across teams fosters a sense of unity and shared mission.

One of the things I value most is how accessible everyone feels. Whether it’s leadership, colleagues, or support staff, there’s an openness and approachability that makes communication easy and meaningful. The environment is uplifting, and it’s clear that people are here because they truly want to be. That kind of intentional presence creates a workplace where showing up each day feels not only easy, but fulfilling.
