We are proud and honored to announce we were one of 60 companies in Connecticut to be named one of the Top Workplaces for 2019 by the Hartford Courant.

“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”

By the nature of the job, no matter what that job may be, and by definition of our mission statement, our employees face an uphill battle every day and each of them serve a purpose to make lives better for those they serve, both in big ways but usually small.

This award comes after several years of effort to strengthen our working environment. Enacting efforts to gather honest and open feedback helped spur a variety of initiatives fostered by the leadership team and carried out by everyone at all levels. These initiatives have included our Leadership Academy, weekly emails sharing in clients’ successes, all-staff meetings, and robust time-off policy.

Our behaviors, language, actions are consistent with our mission and values, not only with clients but with coworkers and how we represent ourselves in the community. We lead from the heart and model the way. We have all worked really hard on a culture where people thrive on transparency and honest feedback.

“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” said Claffey of Energage. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”

Thank you to Gino, our leadership team, and our staff for creating a positive environment where we look forward to coming to work each day and serving our clients with compassion.
