Sound Community Services Celebrates Selection as a Big Y Community Bag Program Beneficiary

Sound Community Services has been selected as a beneficiary of the Big Y Community Bag Program for the month of November.

The Big Y Community Bag Program, which launched in January 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work. Our agency was selected as the November beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Big Y located at 995 Poquonnock Rd, Groton CT. We will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during November, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.

We are honored and excited to have been chosen by Big Y to benefit from their commitment to nonprofit agency’s in our community.

Donations will continue to help us serve at risk 18-25-year-old young adults facing homelessness, addiction and mental health disorders, while allowing us to continue to live our mission of changing lives.
