Oasis Voter Registration

For the past few months, the Oasis Program, under the direction of Phil has been working hard to help get the community registered to vote. To bring their hard work to life, we held a candidate forum with Senator Formica, Rep. Soto, and Rep. McCarty.

This event gave our clients the ability to ask questions of the candidates regarding the state budget, funding to mental health and local taxation. Congratulations to Phil for his leadership and Laura for her organization skills to pull this together.

I would also like to thank Ed Blonder, Board Chair at SCSI and his wife Jan, also on the Board of Directors for attending.

If re-elected, Senator Formica will be inviting all the Oasis clients to the State Capitol so they can see the process in action, and to voice their concerns during special sessions. Well done everyone!
